Computing
and Information Technology (C&IT) is the central information technology
and computing technology unit on campus. The university’s chief
information officer, who heads C&IT, reports to the Provost.
This unit is responsible for the administrative computers and software, network
services, negotiating software agreements for reduced price of campus-wide
purchases and use, the university portal Pipeline, and centralized
academic computing
services, such as e-mail and Blackboard.

C&IT hosts the Blackboard program and all the content. Technical issues
or problems with the operation of Blackboard should be referred to C&IT. Questions about effective use of Blackboard
in teaching and for training on Blackboard should be directed to OTL.
