Each Fall the OTL and the Graduate School jointly offer an orientation for graduate teaching assistants (GTAs). WSU faculty and staff are enlisted as instructors for sessions which cover a variety of topics that help prepare GTAs for teaching at WSU.
To view information about the GTA Orientation click here.

A Certificate of Teaching Development can be earned by GTAs who successfully complete a required selection of courses during the orientation. Click on the link above for further information about earning this certificate and beginning your teaching portfolio.

The OTL also offers monthly GTA Brown Bags and/or Coffee Hours, which are walk-in sessions in which GTAs meet to discuss teaching issues from their classes. Topics are determined by the participants on a monthly basis. For more information, visit our Brown Bag page.
