Advisory Board
Membership Selection
The Provost/VPAA formally appoints members of the OTL Advisory Board. Each school and college will be represented by at least one member. Members will be selected from among faculty who have received the President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching or who have otherwise excelled in teaching.
The Office for Teaching and Learning Advisory Board was established as a chartered university committee in 1998, "to advise the Director of the Office for Teaching and Learning regarding the Office’s mission, strategic directions, and planning, and to represent the interests of each academic unit with respect to needs for faculty and educational development. The Board will be guided by the 1992 Wayne State University Strategic Plan as well as by strategic initiatives identified by the Provost and President of the University."
