Associate Professor, Political Science & a panel of students from the Honors 4200 Seminar on Citizenship and New Technology
Friday, December 5, 2008, 12:30 – 2:00 pm, 144 P/K Library (Simons Room) (Flyer, PDF)
Join the Digital Humanities Collaboratory for the fourth presentation in our series. During this session, a panel consisting of Dr. Kevin Deegan-Krause and a group of Honors 4200 students from his seminar on Citizenship and New Technology will discuss their MacArthur/HASTAC grant proposal for a social network to improve the quality of service learning at Wayne State and the broader community.
Join us for this engaging session and spend some time exploring the various ways you might also begin integrating service learning and new technologies into your own teaching. For documents from the November 2007 symposium on "Virtual Citizenship," focused on the intersection of new technologies with social justice and civic engagement, see http://www.lib.wayne.edu/virship/.
Light refreshments will be served for all that attend.
