The Digital Humanities Collaboratory is an outgrowth of the Digital Humanities Working Group, funded in 2007-2008 by the Humanities Center. The Collaboratory is devoted to teaching and research at the intersections of computing and the disciplines and fields of arts and humanities, media and communication studies, and information science. The aim is to create greater visibility for dispersed projects and to foster mutual learning and resource sharing. The Collaboratory meets in two spaces: monthly face-to-face meetings at various sites around campus featuring presentations of innovative uses of technology, and a parallel webspace where all faculty and staff are welcome to post materials on their teaching and research projects, contribute resources and links to national networks, and participate in discussion forums.
