A Synaesthesia of Jazz and Photographic Art

Join us for the final presentation in our 2008-2009 series. The Detroit/Torino Urban Jazz Project is a collaboration aimed at capturing artistically the common cultural, economic, and political dynamics of two cities that are both centers of the auto industry. This “Meet the Artists” event will celebrate the Project and a special event. From April 22-25, 2009, the musicians will be recording performances for their first commercial DVD (a multi-media DVD that will include visual elements). Chris and Emanuele will describe their project and share aural and visual examples of their collaboration.
Light refreshments will be served for those who attend. The earlier performances will be at the Dirty Dog Jazz Café (http://www.dirtydogjazz.com) and will be streamed on the Internet for global viewing.
