OTL Cheating & Plagiarism Initiative
The OTL is currently working with the WSU community on cheating and plagiarism issues. This recent initiative includes:
- developing a brochure to inform students about academic integrity and the university's postion on cheating and plagiarism. Click here to link to the Academic Integrity Brochure.
- forming and meeting with a working group of interested faculty and staff to explore the topic and create resources for WSU faculty.
- providing articles for the OTL newsletters during the 2004-2005 academic year which address issues on cheating and plagiarism.
- creating and maintaining a Blackboard cheating and plagiarism Web site to allow the working group and other interested members of the WSU community to share resources and to exchange information in a password protected site.

WSU brochure prepared by the Committee for Academic Integrity in conjunction with the OTL. Defines academic misconduct, presents the process and possible sanctions for formally resolving issues of academic misconduct, as well as strategies to prevent misconduct.
- WSU Student Code of Conduct
WSU policy statement on student due process which includes campus-wide definitions, guidelines and sanctions in the case of violations of university regulations, including, but not restricted to academic dishonesty.
